Father touches newborns head as baby rests skin to skin against mother after an unmedicated birth supported by a Utah birth doula.
BIRTH IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRANSCEND. TO RISE ABOVE WHAT WE ARE ACCUSTOMED TO, REACH DEEPER INSIDE OURSELVES THAN WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH, AND TO SEE NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE TRULY MADE OF, BUT THE STRENGTH WE CAN ACCESS IN AND THROUGH BIRTH.

Welcome! I'm glad you are here.

 My Name is Kera

I am a CAPPA trained birth doula, as well as a trained bereavement doula through Stillbirthday and a current student of midwifery. I'm also a photographer! I am passionate about family-directed, physiologic childbirth, and believe the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support is imperative. I am a strong advocate of spontaneous, unmedicated childbirth, but I am also fierce about your right to make choices according to your own individual needs. I support your right to birth wherever and however you choose and believe that a positive birth experience is possible with these key principles:

Informed Decisions, Confidence, and Support.

Birth is unpredictable. It's primal. There is no way to know how it will unfold, but when you make DELIBERATE choices that serve you best you can feel confident in your birth experience, regardless of the unique challenges you might encounter along the way.

Birth Photography

You don't have to choose between a doula and photography- you deserve support AND documentation! I'm here to capture those authentic, raw details that are unique to your birth story.

Birth Doula

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Whether this is your first or your fifth, I'm here to provide comfort, help you know your options and support your partner if they desire to be involved and present in this experience.

What others are saying:

I will always be grateful that Kera was there the day my twin girls were born at home. She so beautifully and so perfectly captured the sacredness and sweetness of one of the greatest days of my life in a way words never could. The day after my babies were born I just thought about the whole experience over and over, wanting so desperately to keep each little moment etched in my mind forever. When Kera sent me the pictures from the birth, I was so overwhelmed with gratitude at the gift she had given me in those pictures—a way to remember, to keep that experience forever, to never forget. I appreciated so much the little details and sweet moments that she was able to see and capture. She truly does appreciate the beauty and sacredness of birth and it shows in the beautiful photographs and the respectful aura she brings with her. She was so sweet to share in our great joy and excitement at the birth of our babies and became a friend after just one meeting! I’m so grateful for Kera’s talent and support and I highly highly recommend her!
